I have a home local connection with 3 computers running
xp professinal. The problem is that when any of the other
computers on my network try to access my shared files
they are prompted for a user name and password. What I
won't to be able to do is eather turn that aspect off or
learn how to eddit so they can access the files easly.

Thanks to whoever respondes

You need to have all your network user accounts setup on each of the xp boxes in your network. Then you wont get any password boxes.

Run the Network Setup Wizard on your computer to fully enable file
sharing. That's usually all that's needed.

If you've explicitly defined a password for the Guest account, have
them enter that password at the prompt.

If your computer runs XP Professional and you've explicitly disabled
simple file sharing, see this web page:

Windows XP Professional File Sharing

Windows XP Home Edition never requires matching user accounts to
access its files.
