I am wireless networking my 3 computers, 2 have XP pro and 1 XP Home. I have
set up my workgroup and can 'see' into the computer with XP Home. I can see
the computer with XP Pro but cannot get past the password window to access
the files/printer etc. I have enabled file sharing and all the other bits and
pieces but still can't get past it.
The most confusing part of all this is that I have never put a password onto
any of the computers because there is no need. I've tried putting in
Administrator etc but to no avail.
Can anyone help.

On the WinXP computers, create local user account(s), with non-blank
password(s), that have the desired access privileges to the desired
shares. Log on to the other PCs using those account(s), and you will be
able to access the designated shares, provided your network is
configured properly. Also, if running WinXP SP1 or later, make sure
that WinXP's built-in firewall is disabled on the internal LAN
connection. If using WinXP SP2, make sure that you've either disabled
the built-in firewall, or set the firewall to allow file and print sharing.

Usually, WinXP's Networking Wizard makes it simple and painless --
almost entirely automatic, in fact. There's a lot of useful,
easy-to-follow information in WinXP's Help & Support files, and here:

Mr. Chambers, your advice works very well, but the problem is that
I need to put the username and blank password all the time after the computer
turned on. So, it's not convenient. It'd be much better if I could totally
get rid of
the pop up of username and password.

Anyone gets the solution?
