Hello all,

Got a PC that does not show any networking devices in Network Connections.
It has a 10/100 port on the motherboard and a Netgear PCI wireless adapter as
well. Networking appears to work. When I run Windows Update, it shows an
update for the ethernet adapter. When I try to install it, it fails. Not
sure when this started happening. Any ideas on what I can check?

Thanks in advance.

The device drivers recommended by Windows update are often problematic
(sometimes outright wrong for the device) and best avoided It's alway
better to get drivers from your computer or hardware manufacturers site. If
your hardware seems to be working correctly and your problem is the missing
icons in Network Connections see "How to troubleshoot missing network
connections icons in Windows Server 2003 and in Windows XP"
