Networking and sharing through wireless

Got a new Netgear Router, I have all computers on the internet successfully,
however, I cannot seem to get all the computers to see each other in order to
do file sharing etc.

Is there a way to clear out or reconfigure Windows XP Professional, so that
I can use the network wizard enabling each computer back to sharing and
seeing each other?

Bare in mind I also have a print server also affected by this issue.

Make sure that all of the computers are in the same workgroup by right
clicking on the "My Computer" icon and choosing properties and then the
"Computer Name" tab on top and finally the "Change" button on the following
screen.
Make sure that the workgroup is the same for all machines.

Wireless doesn't make any difference here. Are the computers in the same
workgroup? Is the firewall on each set up with exceptions for file/print
sharing? Can you ping each computer by its IP address from the other(s)? Can
you ping each computer by name?

Are they all XP Pro?

This blew me away, I found a post that spoke of ensuring that you completely
disable every Firewall, also it spoke of disabling any antispyware programs.
So when I disabled Microsofts Antispyware application low and behold all
sharing commenced. Because it protects the computer similarl to a firewall by
locking in registry settings. Then after all shares between my computers had
come back, I enabled all firewalls again, rebboted saving all settings and
all is well.

My last item is my print server I thing I just need to reboot it.

It will work fine (no compatibility issues), but you can't get easy access
to the NTFS security properties/ tab in Home....you have to go into safe
mode and log in as the built-in admin account IIRC (I never use Home!)

They (Pro and Home) came preinstalled on the two PCs.

Do user accounts on the two machines have to be identically named
for a user to access file on the other computer?
In "All Uers" (not in individual user accounts) I have the
Shared Documents folder shared.

I was taught that it is poor netiquette not to trim your posts
to the essential issue.

Yes, it will make life a lot easier if the users & passwords are the same.

It's good netiquette to snip out extraneous stuff when a thread gets too
long.....but not all of it.
