Please can anyone tell me if I should install McAfee on both my computers.
They are networked and the main one has the virus checker on it. Both are
firewalled, and I have had no problems to date!

You should run anti-virus software on *all* machines...and keep the signature/definition files up to
date at least weekly...

Any computer that you are going to use, or to connect to your network, needs a
full time, regularly updated AntiVirus. The AntiVirus protects you against
application relevant threats, while the firewall protects you against network
relevant threats. Both are essential today.

Any AntiVirus is only as effective as its signature files. Check for updates
daily, or get a product that automatically updates.

Mcafee auto updates more easily than any other AV prog to be honest.

I don't know whether to be jealous or assume you are talking about the anti
virus prog! :)

That made me laugh, the only thing I manage to turn on is the computer.
Thanks for helping. I don't know how to do a smiley face, I might do
something rude and not know it!

No use doing something rude and not knowing so you can benefit! :)

You'll find that Mcafee make two products better than anyone else - their
antivirus and spamkiller. The other stuff they make isn't fabulous. However,
though their virusscan is "install and forget" their Spamkiller is decidedly
hard to use unless you want to just rely on it out of the box. I never get
one spam in my Outlook Express due to Spamkiller but I set up a few rules
that do that for myself.

I did not know you had written another message,I only just checked.
You are being very helpful, don't you have any work you should be doing?
I don't know what you mean about setting up rules, what's that all about then?
Thanks for talking to me.
