We have 5 windows XP computers in a home network. The computer I used to set
up the network cannot see any of the other computers on the network. The
rest work fine. What shows up on network connections is the router.
Clicking on view network connections give an error noise and no result. I
have tried running the network setup several times without help. The network
settings on the computer not working appear to be the same as the other
computers. What could be wrong and is there a way to fix it? Thanks

Workgroup membership is one thing to check, and another would be a misconfigured
or overlooked personal firewall, or other security component. There are several
other possibilities too, and any might be the cause of your problem. Read this
article with an open mind.

For more direct help, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from the
problem computer, and from 2 or the others, so we can examine the problem more
directly. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow instructions
precisely (download browstat!):

Sorry, I did not say that all the computers have the same settings including
workgroup and I tried to turn off the firewall with no change.
