The networkdetection in my Vista Home Premium PC is activated but doesn't
show my Vaio laptop (XP). Both PCs are connected in a LAN connection.
Do I have to change a setting or lies the problem in the incomptability of
the two systems?
Thanks for advice.
Regards, HanLee

Hello,

XP and Vista should be compatible in this issue. Are both in the same home
network?

Greetings,
P. Di Stolfo

1 Firstly, make sure that the workgroup name for your LAN is the same for
both computers. By default, XP is MSHOME, and Vista is WORKGROUP. Change
one or the other, so they are the same.

2 In Vista, click Start>Network>Network sharing,
Network discovery ON
File sharing ON
Password protect OFF
Public folder sharing ON

3 there is NO incompatibily between the systems; only people incompatibility!
