I am having some network troubles..i just formatted my
computer and installed xp...the problem is that my
network has some problems...when i click and open the
local area connection status it says "connected" as
status...but my internet doesn't work, its sbc global
dsl. It works on my other computers but not on this
one..and i went to repair but it says "The following
steps of the repair operation failed: 1.) Renewing the IP
Address 2.) Refreshing all DHCP leases and re-registering
DNS names....Please contact your network administrator or
ISP." and when i check the ip address on the support tab
it says address = "invalid ip address"...and i believe
that is why my internet is not working..but i have no
clue on what to do to repair this...any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Did you reinstall the SBC software? You need to call SBC for tech
support of their services.
