Hi,

I'm in the process of setting up a home network using the network wizard and
I repeatedly get this error:
an error occured during the configuration of the network on this computer.
Does anyone know why this is a nd the fix?
If not, can someone explain how to do it manually.

Many thanks,

Timothy Vieweg.

Yep. In order to easily set up a network using XP, you need to have
everything ON that is to be accessed. Eg, if you are going to share Internet
from another machine, you need Internet turned on. You need firewalls OFF.
You need the other machine turned ON as well and all printers to be shared
ON. Then, do the network wizard and it works so long as the hardware
involved isn't damaged (cables and NICs). Once installed on the first
machine, you will need to reboot it. Make sure it is rebooted and up and
running and internet ON with no firewall before attempting to install on the
other machine. Now install on the other machine.
