We have a windows XP Pro computer connected to a Windows
2000 Server. There are 4 other computers running windows
2000 Pro and 1 running Windows ME that are also connected
to the windows 2000 Server. The XP machine becomes
extremely slow when accessing files from the server after
the other computers (except the server of course) have
been shut down. It seems as though the XP machine is
looking for the server. The problem disappears if the XP
machine is rebooted (whether the other computers are on or
not). Is there some setting or configuration issue that
can explain this?
