While trying to set up a net computer on my home network the Wizard does not
recognize the NVIDA nForce Network Controller as the NIC. I am communicating
fine to the Internet and am able to post this question. I can search and
find the other computers on the network. I am able to see this computer from
other computers on the network. I can not see the drives or printers
attached to this computer from other computers on the network. Other
computers on the network are not able to connect to the printers on this
computer. The latest drivers have been installed and the latest bios was
also installed. This is frustrating and I need help in solving this problem.
I can be reached at (e-mail address removed).

Some NIC is working else the computer could not do any of those items.

Have you shared the drives and printers on the problem computer? My first
impression
from your post is that you have not done. The Network Setup Wizard does not
share
drives or printers.

Well Jim all the drives and devices (printers) have been shared. The problem
still exist as first described. The Network Setup Wizerd still shows that
there are no NIC's to set up the network. I have tried calling the vender
for assistance and have been told that the software vender (Microsoft) should
help me. Looked into this and found that a $59.00 charge is required. On a
fixed income that is a little much.

Bob:
I don't understand how you can connect to the internet if there are no NICs
showing (or not working).
Hence, I believe that there is one somewhere that is indeed working.
What does device manager report?
I have zero experience with nVidia devices and thus cannot comment about
them. Like you, I hesitate to call MS because the
price is high and the likelihood of addition finger pointing is so great.
If you have diagnostics from nVidia, you should run them.
