When I double click on the network settings icon in control panel, the icon
dims but nothing happens. Also when I right click on my network places and
then select properties nothing happens. The result is I cannot get to my
TC/PIP, DNS, etc. settings. Can anyone help?

Are you logged in using an account with administrative privileges? Is
this computer part of a domain whose administrator might have used group
policies to make the networking settings unavailable to regular users?

Yes, I'm logged on as an administrator. This is a home computer. It's got AOL
installed and I'm wondering if something in AOL has the network settings. ???
