Why I want to know this is a tale to complex to explain in a few
sentences. I don't really need to know just am curious about something.
I have a two computer LAN and the Primary connects to the internet
directly, The Secondary connects through Primary's shared connection

The question is about the keys (1) H_Key_Current User/Remote
Access/Profile/Widomaker.com(my ISP connection
name)/DisconnectIdletime,EnableAutoDisconnect,EnableExitDisconnect and
RedialWait as well as
(2)H_key_LocalMachine/CurrentControlSet/Services/LanManServer/parameters
/autodisconnect.

What does each do? I ask, in part, because none of them get changed
when I modify the Idle Time Before Hanging up and the Time between
redial attempts in the Properties/Option for the connection.

If they are not supposed to be changed when I do that, then where is the
changed info kept?

No big deal. I'm just curious.

Thank you very much

Hi Jack,

you're in the "wrong" config window to change these settings ;-)
Navigate to: Internet Explorer, Tools, Options, Connections. Highlight the
connection, you want to configure, click Settings. This will open a Settings
Window for that connection. Bottom part right you'll find Dial Up Settings
and there click the button Advanced. The settings in the Advanced Dialup
Window are the ones, that are saved in the registry key you were looking at.

Thank you. Will give that a try and see what happens. Still don't know
where the idle time setting changed from the Connection Properties are
kept, if they are.

Thanks again.
