I know the Network Bridge in XP, but what about Windows
2000 or earlier versions of Windows. Will this work like
the Network Bridge in XP?

The "LINKSYS 54Mbps Wireless Ethernet Bridge, Model WET54G" on that
web page is a hardware device that lets you add wireless networking
capability to a wired Ethernet network. It requires no software, so
you can connect it to any device that has a wired Ethernet connection:
computer, hub, switch, gaming console (Xbox), etc.

XP's network bridge is more powerful and requires more resources.
It's software that runs on a computer and combines two or more
physical networks into one logical network. The computer that it runs
on needs a network adapter for each network, and the adapters can be
wired Ethernet, wireless Ethernet, USB, home phoneline, etc. I've
written a web page with details:

XP ICS - Network Bridge

And what about the Bridge Protocol. Does bridging only
work for wireless? Here is that article.

Will it work?

I'm sorry, but I don't know what "Bridge Protocol" is. I've never
seen that term used in Windows networking.
