I have an office with a server and a few workstations. The server is using
windows 2000 server and all workstations are windows 2000. I now want to
add a laptop with XP. I have created on the laptop the workgroup and I can
see all of the computers in the network but cannot access them. All of the
other computers can access each other but I can't from the new laptop.

You didn't say what happens when you try to access the other
computers. Please include the full text of all error messages when
asking for help, so that other people can understand the problem
better.

The problem could be that the user account on the XP laptop doesn't
have permission to access the shared disks and folders on the other
computers. Create a user account that has the same user name and
password as one of the Windows 2000 workstations, and try accessing
the network again.
