Network Problem

I can not connet to may home network I get "The network did not assign a
network address to the computer" I have XP 2nd op system and Linksys router
It is hot wired in
 
restart windows, after you go to start/run, and type CMD, then at that
prompt type: IPCONFIG /flushDNS and then : IPCONFIG /registerDNS

if no help, try the winsock fix here.
After you run Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware (Beta), you have network-related
problems, or you receive an error message:
