Network Printer Policy

By default an XP workstation cannot conntect to and print to a network
printer unless he is an Administrator or a Power User. There is a policy
that will not let a User do so.

Does anyone know what that policy is?

I have looked everywhere. The web has people asking this question but no
one answering. Microsoft Tech Support on the web simply ignores the problem
by describing how to connect to a network printer. What is unmentioned is
that the user must be an Administrator or a Power User.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Tom, Curtis again. I have a work around for your problem. If you install the printer while logged in as an administrator on that computer, then log off and log on as the user in question, you can then install the printer as the user, since the drivers are already installed locally on the computer.
