The client computer gets this message when trying to
access the host computer.
" YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO USE THIS NETWORK
RESOURCE. CONTACT THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE SERVER TO FIND
OUT IF YOU HAVE ACCESS PERMISSIONS.

THE NETWORK PATH WAS NOT FOUND. "

The host can ping the client, but the client can't ping
the host.

What is the connection environment? XP to Windows 2003
Server? XP to XP? XP to ????

Is there a username and password for the client user set
up on the host? On the host machine did you give the user
Permission(s) to access the file(s)/folder(s)? Is the
folder containing the file(s) shared?

Check those out then feel free to update us. And we'll go
from there. Best of luck!

also check for firewalls - both the built in one on XP
and any 3rd party software. If you can ping one way but
not the other, there is a good chance that a firewall is
blocking transmission. Disable any firewalls until you
have the network running, then configure them to allow
LAN traffic through.
