network password

I have networked 3 of my computers. All run XP Pro. When
you try to connect to 1 of the 3 it askes for a user name
and password. I never created a password to log onto XP
on that computer. I have Admin. rights on all 3. How do I
fix this?
 
Create identical user accounts on each PC. As an FYI, by default, XP does
not allow access to network shares with blank passwords.

I think that last sentence needs some qualification, Rob: it only
applies to Windows XP Professional with "simple file sharing" enabled.
With "simple file sharing" disabled, which is the default setting in a
workgroup, XP Pro allows access by all network users, regardless of
their user names and passwords.

Oops, I reversed "enabled" and "disabled", and I apologize for my
mistake. Here's what the paragraph above should say:
