Has anyone found a network optimizer, that adjusts RWIN,MYU etc, that actually
works? I have tried lots and every one gave ridiculous results.

Nope. I've tried some, too. None of them make any diference that I can
tell, even over dialup connections where you'd think they'd have the
most impact.

I tried one the other day called TCP optimiser from, i think,
www.speedguide.net. since "optimising" my downloads start over 100KB/s then
drop back down to 50+, (on a 512Kb/s connection). haven't noticed much in the
way of performance increase on websites or gaming tbh.

u might as well give it a go. u can manually change settings or just let the
program optimise it for you. and you can backup your settings and restore
easily...

I just recently bought a program called PC Pitstop Otimimize which actually
works pretty well. it is from Computer Associates.
