Hi everybody,
I would like some assistance with this issue:
I have two computers at home. One is a desktop, running
Windows 98 Second Edition. The other is a laptop, running
Windows XP Home Edition. Both are connected to the
Internet through a wireless router. The Internet
connection is working fine with both computers.
The problem is with connection both computers in a
network, so that they can "see" each other and share
files and a printer.
I tried to create a network connection from the laptop,
from the "control panel", choosing "Network Connections"
and following the process of creating a home network. It
said I was to configure the other computer either using
the Windows XP CD or creating a network setup disk. I
tried both options, but none of them worked. Meaning,
after having gone through the whole process, both on the
laptop and on the desktop, there was still no network
connection between the two. I could not access one
computer from the other. I should also say that both
computers are set to allow sharing of all drives.
Could anyone help out with this?
If you can, please make a copy of your message to my
email address.
Thanks a lot,
Ilan.
