i have 2 pcs networked, mine running xp and has a dsl
internet connection, and my brothers which runs xp. i set
it up so he could share my connection using internet
connection sharing, and it worked well. but lately he has
been able to start the network when he turns his pc on,
but cannot access the internet. what is wrong?

This is my opinion:

The problem lies in the flaky ICS software. Get rid of that crap,
spend a few bucks on a router ($50-$70, depending on sales/rebates),
and set up your internet share using it. It's a much easier solution,
as the router provides IP NAT and most also provide some firewall
functions, shielding your IP behind them.

ive tried this many times lol

Run the network setup wizard. State that ur the one with direct contact to
