Sam

I disabled Simple File Sharing and created a username
that matches the other name on the machine. I disabled
the Guest, created a name with no password. When I try to
access the machine, I get an error saying a account
restriction because of blank passwords. I don't want a
password. All machines are XP Pro.

Any suggestions?

if you don't want a password and also disable guest account, you may try to
create the same username on all computers and logon automatically. quoted

Yeah, but here is the problem.

There are two machines which are running XP Pro. User A
does *not* want to use to use simple file sharing. User B
wants to use simple file sharing because they don't want
any restrictions.

I don't think creating a username on the computer will
help. When I disabled User's A Simple File Sharing and
disabled the Guest, then I went to User B's machine to
access some shares. I got the error saying account
restriction because of blank passwords.

User A doesn't want any passwords assigned. I'm trying to
setup the network to make my users happy.

Any ideas?
