at work we using a LAN and when i go to my network place i see all the other
computer connect to our lan (research). What i want to do is to give to one
user from a computer (bob) from the lan an access to one folder (data) on my
computer (paul). so anyone can access to my files, only bob can access to my
folder data Now what i'm doing is giving access to everyone to let that user
use my folder, I don't know how to specifically give access to one user from
a different computer on my computer, please help, thank you

Are you on a domain? Windows Pro on the workstations? If you are on a
domain, do you have the right to create user groups on your computer?
If you are able to create user groups and set permissions on your
computer, create a new group and call it something appropriate
"BobGroup" or the like. Make Bob (and yourself!) members of the
BobGroup. Set permissions on the folder so that only members of
BobGroup can access the folder.

thank you for your answer, but i'm not on a domain, so can you tell me
how

thank you

If you are not on a domain, do what I told you in my previous post. The
question about being on a domain was to determine if you had the right
to create local groups and assign permissions on your workstation.
