Windows XP SP2

My notebook (not connected to any network, dial-up ISP is EarthLink) gives
me the following error message every time I try to connect to
www.humana.com:

Network Error
Unable to request URL from host www.humana.com:80: Operation timed out

The problem is relatively new, started happening about 3-4 days ago. What
may be relevant or not is that Humana.com is the ONLY website that I have
this problem with; all other sites open properly. I checked ZoneAlarm (free
version) for a setting that may need to be changed, but could not find
anything. Also use AdSubtract, but could not find any relevant setting
there either.

Will greatly appreciate any ideas or pointers.

Thanks,
George

P.S. Pls. reply in ng; e-mail address is invalid.

I answered the first post you did. Search on your name. Please keep
posts about one subject in *one* thread and don't make a new post with
the same question until at least 24 hours have passed.

Hi,

Try clearing your internet cache. Control Panel/Internet Options/General
tab, click "delete files" under the Temporary Internet Files section.

Rick, thanks for the reply. I routinely delete the TIF's several
times a day, even deleted the Humana cookie just in case, but it
made no difference.

What would the :80 refer to in the timed-out message? I don't put
that in at the end of www.humana.com in the Address Bar, but that
is the exact way the error message reads.

Any other ideas or pointers will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
George

Hi,

80 is the port used by most web page servers, it's normal. The page works
fine for me, the most I could recommend right now is to check the HOSTS file
under C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc for any mention of it, and if not then
refer to one of the many IE groups for more specialized help.
