Network error about unavailable update document

When I start Windows XP, I always get a message: There is a network error.
The update document is not available.

The only option I have is to click OK. Then the computer functions normally.
Does anyone know what this update document might be or why it is not
available. Thank you.

More details are needed, are you part of a domain or a peer to peer
network, without any real info of your setup it is difficult to give you
any sensible advice.

I am part of a workgroup called MSHOME although I am using only my computer
whose only connection to the outside world is via internet access (otherwise
it is a stand-alone home computer).
