Network Drives keep dropping

I have an XP pro machine as part of a Domain, I have mapped a network drive
which is a share on a Windows 2000 server. I loose connectivity randomly
throughout the day.

I am able to ping the device when I loose connection so I know connectivity
is not my problem.

In my network settings I removed QOS and only have the TCP/IP protocol
running and opted to use netbios over it.

I read somewhere about an autodisconnect in the XP lanman by default it
disconnects after 15 minutes, I tried the fix on my XP machine to try stop
it however the network drive continues to disconnect.

If anyone knows of a good resource or what else I can do to troubleshoot,
would be much appreciated.

Rob.
