network drives disconnect

After about an hour, my mapped drives that havent been used get
disconnected, and show a red X. When I double click the drive, it
reconnects. Here is my problem.... My back-up server. It cant double click.
So, how do I prevent the server from disconnecting the drives after a
certain time of inactivity?
