I have 2 similar computers running windows xp. After numerous tries to get
them networked without internet connections, I succeeded. I manually
configured the IP address on both computers. Today they are not talking.
Any suggests as to why they have become "unnetworked" -thank you - Els

Can you ping each other? Or posting the results of ipconfig /all on both computers may help.

I don't know how to ping - would you please give me instructions on how to do
that? Thank you - Els

From one computer, open command prompt (start>All Programs>Accessories), type "ipconfig" and press Enter to find the local computer IP address. From other computer, run command prompt, type "ping IP address" (The Ip address the first computer IP).
