network difficulties

I have 2 comps, the host on xp, and the client on 2k pro, i am having tremendous difficulties setting up the client to network. After setting up the host, and trying to run netsetup from floppy, i get a message telling me that 2kpro doesnt support the network setup wizard. wot do i do next?
 
Forget the wizard. You pretty much just plug this stuff in and it works.

Connect the PCs. Set the IP address of PC1 to 192.168.1.10 with a subnet
mask of 255.255.255.0. On PC2 set the IP to 192.168.1.11 with the same
mask.

Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP and share a resource.
