Network Connections have disapeared

Hey,

I must have done something really dumb.......I just can't work out what it
is though.

I have a Lan adaptor and a firewire adaptor that both used to appear in my
network connections. Both are installed and show as working properly in
device manager and have verified drivers, I think I have just done something
dumb and I can't seem to see what it is.

Using Winxp Pro and SP2.

Start | Run | Services.msc
Ensure the Network Connections service is started.
 
Hi Thanks for the tip,

I still have the same problem though. When I do a refresh on "network
connections" the error message tells me to check the network services are
enabled. As far as I can tell, they are.....

Looking like a reinstall, I have to do one every quarter it seems!
