Network Connection Issues since last week's updates?

Experiencing a strange issue since I applied the critical updates that MS
released last week.

The problem:

When domain users logon, they are periodically receiving an error stating
"Unable to connect network drives..." When the users look in the My
Computer, they observe several erroneous mapped drives (drives E-Z). When
the user is instructed to restart the computer, the error goes away for a
short time then reappears.

I'm running Windows XP Pro SP2 on all workstations and my forrest functional
level on my 2003 SE domains are running Windows 2003. This problem appeared
last Wednesday. Any thoughts or suggestions is welcomed.

My problems have been around since the begining of September. I have 1 user
a day get a disconnected network drive. This particular drive is mapped to
z: in the AD user and Computers snapin. A simple reboot fixes the issue.
Win 2000 clients did not have this issue. Most of the time things work well
but... See my posts other posts for more detailed information. For me I am
wondering if
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;330519
is really not as fixed as they say it is in SP2?

Do you have auto updates turned on on the clients? That was the day
after patch Tuesday I think...
