I get this message on all of my computers with fresh WinXP with all the
service patches when I try to access a network folder on another computer
through a program like Paint Shop Pro or Dreamweaver, etc.
"The drive or network connection that the shortcut 'target.lnk' refers to is
unavailable. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network
resource is available, and then try again."
Then the folder opens up anyway.
I think it is one of the ms updates causing it, but I don't know wich one.
I have 3 WinXP computers on a Netgear FS105 switch and RT311 router.
Everything is DHCP and the WAN is hooked up to a Motorola SB5100 cable
modem.
