My notebook is configured to use a number of network connections, I turn
these on and off depending on where I am and how I wish to connect. The
specific problem concerns a CDMA modem card used for wireless broadband. I
have this set to redial on disconnection, which it does. The problem is that
a ruined network connection (in this case a PPP) is left and a new one is
created. Because the ruined connection (no IP address etc) is the first in
the queue nothing comunicates until a reboot cleans things up.
ipconfig release and renew doesn't clear up the mess (it will not recognise
that the ruin is a connection).
Am right up to date on updates.
