The software for my NAS backup system gets the response "Sharing Violation"
when trying to bakup both of the Home Edition PCs on my net. I believe this
is a problem related to Volume Shadow Copy Serivce, bu t I don't know what to
do about it. Help?

You don't have volume shadow copy on your workstations - that's for W2003
only. So, it sounds like you have files in use when the backup is trying to
run. My question is, if you have a NAS, why are you storing data locally on
your workstations anyway, and trying to back it up? Wouldn't it be easier to
store all the data you care about directly on the NAS itself, so it can do
its own backups to whatever medium you like? Or, if you are using your NAS
only for backups, you may need to make sure all your workstations' files are
closed when your backup runs.
