Network accessibility for Limited Accounts

I added a new user (next to my own account with administrator
priviliges) to my windows XP Professional. The new user has a "Limited
account". If I log on with this user, I have network access, but I
can't change this network access from the default wired to the wireless
connection. I haven't changed anything to the standard "limited
account" settings.

Another question: can I make the files in subdirs of the root
unaccessible by other users than myself?

FYI: I have a IBM Thinkpad R52 laptop (and I'm using IBM acces
connections), but the problem is also present on Dell laptop using the
standard windows networking applications.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

By design,a limited user can't enable or disable network connections.
To give it that right, run "compmgmt.msc" and add the limited user to
the Network Configuration Operators group.

To make directories inaccessible to other users, put them in your My
Documents folder, and make them private. For more information, see
the Help and Support topic "To make your folders private".
