NetMeeting (again)

Problem: Desktop sharing is not enabled

I've read all the posts I can find on NetMeeting in XPE both here and on the
google group.

Here's a summary of where I'm at:

a) I've added NetMeeting HotFix Q835732 to my build.
b) I've got Terminal Services Remote Desktop in the build and can, in fact,
run an RDP client to my device just fine.
c) I read Sean Liming's note on the Google group about adding Telnet server
(with NTLM disabled) (Google "sean liming netmeeting") - I was originally
missing the Telnet server but adding it did not make any difference,
NetMeeting's share desktop icon was still disabled.
d) NetMeeting works fine on the way out of the device - it can join a
meeting, but cannot share its own desktop in a hosted meeting - sharing
desktop button is always disabled.
e) I've insured the accounts I'm running with are password enabled/protected.

Any clues for any other things to try would be greatly appreciated.

Hi landon

You need Virtual Display Driver - Hotfix Q835732 component and
disable below registry key values in TD.


HLKM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\mnmdd\Enum\0 - REG SZ -
"Root\\LEGACY MNMDD\\0000"

HLKM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\mnmdd\Enum\Count - REG DWORD - 1

HLKM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\mnmdd\Enum\NextInstance -
REG DWORD - 1

Steve, you were right on the money. That was exactly what was missing.

I disabled those values and everything worked as expected. Thank you very
