Anyone,
I've recently installed a Netgear FA311 network interface card on my PC.
However, when windows xp boots up, it tries to recognise the card, but
driver installation fails. It recognises the type of device and model number
via the the window bubble that pops up at the bottom right hand corner of
the screen. However, when I have a look at the device manager, all that is
listed is "Ethernet Controller" with a yellow exclaimation mark.
When I right click and view Properties, the device status says "This device
is not configured correctly. (Code 1). To reinstall the drivers for this
device, click Reinstall Driver."
When I click the Driver tab in properties, it shows that there is no driver
installed.
I have tried to get a driver from the netgear web site for windows xp, but
there is none. The website states that the driver should be located on the
windows xp cd. But I tried intalling the driver manually from the CD and
there is no driver to be found.
Can someone please help me!
