Hi There

I have 2 computers with both Xp Professional Installed. 1 has service pack 1
installed and 1 has service pack 2 installed. I have noticed that my port 139
is locked out from incoming and outgoing requests on the pc with service pack
2 installed. I have tested this theory by installing a portscanner to test
this which works successfully on the pc with service pack 1 but not with
service pack 2. What i want to do is find out what update caused this lock
and remove it as i am beta testing a product from dameware and it is awkward
swapping between the 2 pcs constantly.

Service Pack 2 pc is 3.02 ghz processor
1 gb ram
250 gb hard drive
Windows firewall has been disabled
no firewall.
network connections have been adjusted to allow 139 on the connection i use

Kind Regards

Neil Henry
