Hi.

Does anybody have much experience with NetBeui and XP? I was using IPX for
filesharing on my home network and decided to switch to NetBeui. My 2000
wireless client can get to my fileshare without a problem. However, the XP
wireless client can't get to the fileshare with NetBeui. I do know that I
have connectivity because I can get to the internet via my router.

Ideas?

You now need to install NetBEUI from the Windows XP
installation disc separately.
It's now preferred to use TCP/IP with DNS instead of
NetBEUI/NetBIOS.

Netbeui is located on the WinXp CD here:
\VALUEADD\MSFT\NET\NETBEUI\
There are three files there. The text file explains where to put these files
in your system. You will also need them in the other machine.

Netbeui is fine for a home or small business network to share files.
We use it and it works great.
