net send windows to UNIX or vice versa

Can anyone help me about sending messages between unix and windows os
I m looking for a command like net send or any tool that can do the same

You need Samba on Unix to work with NetBIOS/SMB.

There may or may not be a utility in the Samba suite.

You can send a message from unix to windows using samba through
*smbclient* utility. There is a switch for the message.

Since linux may be running in either graphical or console mode, I am
not aware of any utility which sends message from windows to linux.
