Framework 1.1 - When you install the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 on a computer that is
running Windows XP, and then you start Windows, the Welcome screen appears. This screen
prompts you to click your user name to start Windows
Automatically Log On a User Account in Windows XP
.. Go to the Start Menu and the Run box.
.. Type in the following:
control userpasswords2
.. now click OK
.. In the new Windows that appears select the account you wish to make the primary logon.
.. Now uncheck the "Users must enter a username and password..." box.
.. Hit Apply and a dialog box will appear asking you to confirm the selected users
password.
Click OK.
The changes will work the next time you restart your computer.

|I had to install .Net Framework to support a program I had.
| Unfortunately, my whole XP login has been changed. Now it's asking for
| passwords, administrator, etc, etc., instead of just a plain
| straight-through boot up to desktop.
