I had to install .Net Framework to support a program I had.
Unfortunately, my whole XP login has been changed. Now it's asking for
passwords, administrator, etc, etc., instead of just a plain
straight-through boot up to desktop.

How can I return it back to a normal straight-through boot up?

P.S. I need to have .Net Framework on the pc

You used to have just a single user and it logged on to that user
automatically. But the .net framework installed a second user, so
Windows now doesn't know which one you want to log on to.

To logon automatically, go to Start | Run, and type
"control userpasswords2" Select the account you want to logon to
automatically. Then uncheck the box "Users must enter a user name and
password to use this computer."

Or do the same thing with TweakUI.
