Hi
Does anyone know if the current 70-320, 70-316, & 70-315 exams are to be
updated or replaced for .NET 2.0??

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

I don't really know this, but I doubt it as all those exams cover just the basics of .Net, and the basics are the same in 2.0 as 1.0 and 1.1, besides, the exam doesn't say which version. I'd expect new sets of questions though.

I think the basics of .NET have changed significantly with 2.0 -
generics and nullable types are pretty important for starters. (Whether
you'd count nullable types as a .NET basic is debatable, but generics
certainly count IMO.)

Well, true, the basics have expanded, but in my opinion not enough to qualify as MCAD.NET/MCSD.NET v2.

It won't make sense for asp.net 2.0 programmers to learn about ways to
do things for asp.net 1.1 IMO. Just to mention this particular case.

They won't, by the time ASP.NET 2.0 is released or shortly thereafter the test questions will be updated to reflect this, but I doubt much more than 5 out of 50 or so questions will be unique for 2.0, the rest would be valid for 1.0 and 1.1 as well, so it makes no sense to have MCSD.NET 2.0 compared to just MCSD.NET.

I may be very wrong as I don't know what MS is planning and for all I know there will be MCSD.NET 2.0 with 50 new questions unique for ASP.NET 2.0. I would find it odd though.
