Nero 5.5 and Nero 6.0

The reason is:

Previously, I have a Lite-on combo drive in my PC and it bundled with Nero
5.5. The VCD it made runs perfectly in my VCD player. Not long ago, I add
a Lite-on DVD writer to my PC and it bundled with Nero 6.0. Of course, I
upgrade from Nero 5.5 to 6. However, the VCD made by both drives cannot run
in my VCD player. It runs only in my DVD player. So I think it may be due
to the compatibility between Nero 6 with my VCD player.

This is the reason why I want to use nero 5.5 again. Maybe I need to
downgrade to 5.5 which has lesser functions than 6 (I think).

Might be the DVD blank you used. For compatibility with older players
use DVDR- type blanks.

VCD is menu driven mpeg1 audio/video. Its meant to be on CD.

Never heard of a strictly VCD player Such standalone equipment usually
plays other A/V formats as well.

My guess is you are using other than the original media type that worked
well before.

But none of this is of XP origin. Later.
