needs smart card or key

Howard Mintzer

Installed winxp Pro on 2 different computers (2 legal copies of winxp
pro). One computer installed over win98se and the other over win me. on
the former win me computer the opening screen asks for a smart card or
key to be inserted (for security) OR you can press ctrl-alt-del to
bypass the screen and get onto the regular login screen. What is this
screen and how do i get rid of it since i don't need it
