Need XP SP1a Please Help

I need older version of atapi.sys because of system error event id 9. I have
Windows XP Pro SP2 and this is a known problem with the atapi.sys using SP2.
I need to know how I can find out what version of atapi.sys I currently
have. Also I need to know where I can get the older version of atapi.sys
5.10.2600.1106

The instructions do not work ATAPI.SYS will not be allowed to be copied to
another folder because it is in use. Also I do not have a
windows\system32\DLLcache folder.
I called Microsoft to see what the status of this issue is

Will post once I find out been on hold for over 2 hours.

I don't understand why you don't have a dllcache folder. It's there on
all systems.

Another option is to revert to SP1a.
