I replaced my hard drive and now all my Office 2000
programs need therapy!
Whenever I start them, I get a message that says "The
patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch
package exists and that you can access it, or contact the
application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows
Installer patch package."
Detect and Repair just produces the same message.
The knowledge base sez that this means the Installer is
corrupted, but does not reference an installer cleanup
utility for XP. So where can I get this puppy?
