I have the requirement of needing to syncronise.... two computers each
holding the same email accounts....

Its a sort of 'home' and 'work' thing so that I can have all the same email
on both systems.

Can anyone give me some idea what I need to be doing to get this working?
Both machines running XP Pro

Thanks Jeff

Depends on what email program?

You might be able to periodically/regularly import the email from one
into the other, making sure that there is an option not to import
duplicates each time.

Alternatively there might be an option in the accounts settings for
each emai;l account, to leave a copy on the server. DAnger here is
that when you d/l email, it's not deleted from the mail server, the
mail server gets full (if you don't manually empty it) and new emails
start to bounce. Also, emails would only be "sync'd" for inwards, not
sent.

In whatever email clients you are using, choose the option to leave
messages on the server. Remember to periodically delete them from the
server.

1. You post here using Outlook Express (OE). OE is not designed for such
use. Try a more network-aware Mail Client like MS Outlook.

2. Your headers (Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2600.0000) tell me that
you're running outdated and much less secure versions of OE, IE and Windows.
Check in at Windows Update ASAP!
