When trying to do a dik cleanup, I mistakenly deleted some
components from the Accessories, Internet Explorer and
Outlook Express folders because of an ambiguous dialog in
SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL>ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS>ADD/REMOVE
WINDOWS COMPONENTS, which says "To Add or Remove a
component click the check box.

I only relised that my Sony VAIO laptop never came with a
CD with Windows XP Home on it, only 3 recovery disks which
offer no other options other than to restore the computer
to the state when it left the factory. Any idea where I
can get the files I nesd? I can't seem to find them
anywhere to download online.Thanks

Did ypu call Sony to check if there's a hidden partition
from which you can do a system recovery or repair?
