need to protect networked folders

three xp machines, two pro one home. I need to share folders between all
three but not with all users. only one user needs access to these folders.

The simplest solution is to assign a network password to the Guest
account on each computer. Anyone who wants to access a computer's
shared folders will need to enter that password. To assign a
password:

1. Click Start | Run.
2. Type "control userpasswords2" in the box and click OK.
3. Under "Users for this computer", click Guest.
4. Click Reset Password, enter a password, and click OK.

A more elegant (but more difficult) solution is available on the
computers that run XP Professional. You can disable "simple file
sharing" and define access control lists that specify user names and
their allowed mode of access. Ron Lowe and I have written a web page
